Fun, quiet, mess free (well, ok, with some preparation). Make these puzzles and keep for rainy days!

Materials Needed:

  • Paper plates (Pack of 50 $1 Dollar Tree) Note: You can use a cereal box or any other firm paper. You don’t even really need this at all, just helps to keep the puzzle pieces durable
  • Construction paper
  • Glue Stick (Pack of 4 $1 Dollar Tree)
  • Pen or Marker
  • Template (I  used large cookie cutters)
  • Scissors

1. I used one paper plate for each puzzle. Cut construction paper into quarters, paste one quarter onto each paper plate.

2. Trace template onto construction paper, then darken outline with a marker.

3. Create a unique line down or across each shape. I made this line extra bold so that a little marker would show up on either side once I cut down the line. On either side of the line, write a number and then draw a picture or dots that represent that number. You could also spell out shapes and draw the shape on the other side of the line. Be creative! It’s your own learning tool after all 🙂

4. Cut out shapes and down the puzzle line to create two separate pieces for each puzzle.

5. Enjoy, then store away for another day!
